CBRE opened its new 13,611-square-foot office on the sixth floor of The Plaza in Clayton at 190 Carondelet Plaza in Clayton, Missouri.
The firm relocated from the 14th floor of the same building, which it occupied since 2012.
The new office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 program, showcasing the company’s “Future of Work” space standards, including innovative technology and a wider variety of collaborative spaces designed to support hybrid working.
The office is equipped with the latest technology designed specifically for hybrid work, allowing all employees to seamlessly collaborate. It includes a LED Media Wall, a digital companion whiteboard in the large conference room for interactive mixed-presence collaboration.
There are two conference rooms, one living room, a library, a large “Heart” communal gathering space and a connected “Rise Café” for employees to gather. The office is divided into three neighborhood work areas with flexible seating arrangements for either collaboration or individual, heads-down work.
A cornerstone of the Workplace360 model is its free-address approach of unassigned seating. Instead, teams get access to various neighborhood work areas where they can use any unoccupied seat. As many companies move to hybrid work models, a free-address approach allows for any workstation or office to be used by any employees who are in the office on a given day.
The design theme of the office was inspired by St. Louis’ rich history and features nods to the famous Gateway Arch with various curved design elements throughout the space. The CBRE Design Collective team worked to select art pieces that showcase specific St. Louis neighborhoods or local artists to tell the city’s story.
Building amenities in The Plaza in Clayton include an outdoor terrace, two tenant lounges, fitness center, training room, golf simulator and a game room. Top-tier office buildings are in high demand as companies favor high-quality buildings, according to CBRE Research. Buildings similar to this with many amenities are currently well leased.
