Centennial Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, is undergoing extensive building renovations. The 266,886-square-foot facility at 1900 E. Golf Road in Schaumburg, Illinois was purchased in mid-2013 by New York-based Sovereign Partners LLC. The $5 million dollar renovation promises to give a modern look to the building, which was constructed in 1980. Transwestern’s Senior Vice Presidents Joe Stevens and Fred Ishler, along with Associate Zach Fox, are the leasing agents for the building.
The lobby’s major face-lift will include Italian marble finishes, terrazzo flooring, new furniture, lighting, artwork and other fixtures. The elevator cabs will also be updated. The carpet and wall coverings in the corridors will be replaced, and a new exterior tenant monument sign is being installed on Golf Road that will provide tenants with outstanding visibility.
The building benefits from on-site property management, two conference rooms with combined seating for more than 70 people, on-site food service with free Wi-Fi, a tenant lounge, 24-hour fitness center with locker rooms and shower facilities, an outdoor putting green and tenant storage. Centennial Center features a covered walkway to the adjacent Hyatt Hotel and manned security with 24-hour keycard access. The property is in close proximity to Interstates 90, 355 and 290, as well as Woodfield Mall.
