CenterPoint Properties announced the appointment of Elena Daniel as vice president ESG and corporate affairs. In the newly created role, Daniel will oversee all environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate affairs matters. As part of her responsibilities, she will administer the responsible contractor program (RCP) on union and labor participation in development and construction projects. Daniel will also lead CenterPoint’s energy optimization, “green” and corporate affairs initiatives.

Prior to joining CenterPoint, Daniel served as vice president, director of media and analytics at Lendlease. She has more than 16 years of corporate affairs-related experience in the development and construction industry with an expertise in regional governance, business continuity and public relations. Daniel received a master of business administration from Roosevelt University. She received her bachelor of science in marketing at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
