Champion Real Estate Company has acquired a portfolio of six student housing communities encompassing 292 units and 524 beds near Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, for $42.26 million.
The communities are located at 635 Abbot Road, 129 Burcham Drive and 731-787 Burcham Drive.
This is the first acquisition for Champion Real Estate Company in Michigan but fourth student housing community purchase in 2021. Champion MSU, a subsidiary of Champion, will begin immediately on a complete rebrand and gut renovation of the student housing communities.
