The Chicago Building Congress (CBC) will recognize Joseph M. Antunovich, FAIA, founder and president of Antunovich Associates, with the 2019 Award of Honor. The CBC gives this annual award to individuals who have distinguished themselves both in the community and in the construction industry as a whole.
In addition to designing ground-up work and master planning communities, Antunovich has devoted much of his time to historic preservation and adaptive re-use projects that celebrate the rich urban context and history of cities across America. Over the years, he has participated passionately in a number of significant preservation projects that have ensured that our marvelous historic buildings are preserved for future generations.
A native of New Zealand, Antunovich earned a masters of architecture degree from the University of Southern California. He will be honored on November 13 , 2019 at an event at the Union League Club of Chicago. Read up on Antunovich’s insights in this REjournals Q&A from this past July.
