The Chicago Chapter of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) has announced Mark Goode, SIOR, as the 2025 winner of the Howell Watson Distinguished Service Award. The award was given at SIOR Global’s 2025 spring event, held in May at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Named after an esteemed leader and past president of SIOR, the Howell Watson Distinguished Service Award is the highest form of industry recognition given by SIOR, recognizing an individual’s outstanding vision, leadership, and service to the organization and the broader commercial real estate (CRE) industry. It further recognizes an SIOR member renowned for their extraordinary professionalism and integrity.
Mark Goode, SIOR, is an industrial specialist and founding principal of Venture One Real Estate. Under his leadership, Venture One has developed more than 15 million square feet of space valued at over $1.6 billion and has acquired approximately 300 buildings totaling 21.7 million square feet with a collective value exceeding $1.5 billion. With a distinguished career spanning decades, Goode has made significant contributions to the industry, including playing a leading role in organizing the Investment Property Marketplace at SIOR events and securing the SIOR’s first sponsors, further enhancing SIOR’s visibility.
A former president of the SIOR Chicago Chapter, Goode’s excellence in the field has been repeatedly recognized—earning SIOR’s Largest Dollar-Volume Investment Sale Cooperative Transaction Award nine times, including eight consecutive wins between 1994 and 2004. A member since 1980, he was a member of the SIOR Foundation Board of Trustees and the SIOR Foundation Public Relations Committee.
