J.C. Anderson, Inc. has been selected to complete a phased office renovation for Piedmont Office Realty Trust at 500 W. Monroe in Chicago.
The renovation will be 9,000 square feet of the building’s lobby and common areas. Changes will consist of relocating the existing lobby desk, replacing all of the polished brass fixtures with brushed stainless fixtures and removing the existing onyx exterior panels and replacing them with new clear glass openings. J.C. Anderson, Inc. will also replace the wood ceilings with LED lighting and stretched fabric as well as update the revolvers, sidelites and transoms. Completion is scheduled for December. Once complete, the space will feature new lighting, branding and signage, new exterior pavers, sidewalks and new parking garage upgrades.
Designed by renowned architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 500 W. Monroe is a 46-story office building constructed of granite, glass and stainless steel and features an illuminated glass spire on the southeast corner of the building and cathedral rotunda entryway into a two-level lobby. Located in the West Loop, the property offers close proximity to public transportation as well as immediate access to the Kennedy, Eisenhower, and Dan Ryan Expressways.
The construction team for J.C. Anderson, Inc. is led by Chief Operating Officer Steve Boulukos and Project Executive Joe Maguire. Architectural services will be provided by Linda Kanoski of Epstein.
