Chicago’s Laramar Group names pair of vice presidents

The Laramar Group promoted Brandon Krantz and Matt Kreikemeier to vice president of investments. The firm has corporate offices in Chicago and Denver. 

Krantz and Kreikemeier have been instrumental in overseeing the planning, sourcing and execution of acquisition and disposition activities for Laramar Group’s portfolio of multifamily and medical office properties across the country.

Krantz joined Laramar in 2009 and previously was Director of Investments. He oversees investment sourcing, underwriting, capitalization, entitlement, design and executive of investments in multiple markets across the country. He has been involved in all aspects of the Laramar business, from development and executive of business plans to portfolio performance analysis and providing support and direction to the operations team.

Krantz was previously Vice President of Asset Management, where he provided asset management oversight for 2,600 units in 62 buildings in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Denver. He also held management positions in the Accounting and Due Diligence Departments, assisting with the acquisition of over 82,000 units in 384 buildings, and the disposition of 68,000 units in 276 buildings. 

Kreikemeier joined Laramar’s acquisition team in 2013 and previously was an Analyst. He has more than 15 years of real estate experience, including commercial real estate valuation, investment analysis and portfolio management for all major property types. He is responsible for identifying investment opportunities for Laramar in multiple U.S. markets. He previously worked as a commercial underwriter and portfolio manager for a national lender where he was involved in banking and financing solutions for real estate developers and investors.
