Chicago’s The Apartment Source (“TAS”) added Genelle Banks and Alex Anderson as its newest Leasing Directors.

Banks joins as the Director of Neighborhood Leasing. Banks is an original team member at The Apartment Source, and her growth over the past 10 years has been incredible. Starting as a leasing agent in 2014, it didn’t take long for her success to skyrocket as she has since been recognised by The Chicago Association of REALTORS as a top producing leasing agent for seven consecutive years.
After dominating the rental market in Chicago’s most popular north side neighborhoods such as Lakeview and Lincoln Park, Banks has since expanded her portfolio to include lease-up projects in Hyde Park, Bronzeville, and many more.
Anderson steps into the role of Director of Downtown Leasing. After nine years in education and coaching basketball, Anderson transitioned to real estate. Starting his real estate career selling homes in Champaign, Illinois, he soon relocated to Chicago where he focused on downtown leasing.
Through dedicated tenant representation, examining downtown market trends and becoming an expert on the inventory, he quickly became the top rental producer at his previous brokerage. At The Apartment Source, Anderson has managed a team of leasing agents specializing in luxury downtown high-rise apartments that consistently produces over $1 million annually.
