The Chicago Chapter of the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR) recently presented the Richard G. Levy Presidents award to Christopher Curtis, SIOR and Principal of Nugent Curtis Real Estate, LLC. The award was presented at SIOR’s holiday luncheon at the Glen View Club in Golf, IL in early December.
The SIOR Chicago Chapter Executive Board selects one recipient each year who they feel exemplifies outstanding achievements both in and out of the commercial real estate industry. The award’s namesake, Richard G. Levy, SIOR, was a highly-revered leader within the real estate community who typified the elements of professionalism, business acumen and strong personal and business ethics that represent the goals of each Chicago Chapter SIOR member.
“This year’s honoree, Chris Curtis, told me a long time ago, ‘You’ll get out of SIOR what you put into it, and you’ll make relationships with SIORs around the world that will impact your life.’ He was right on target,” said Daniel Smolensky, SIOR, of Taurus Modal Group and 2018 President of the Chicago Chapter of SIOR. “Chris is a collaborator extraordinaire, with an integrity that cannot be compromised.”
Chris is a Past President of the SIOR Chicago Chapter, and has also served as Vice President of the national SIOR Foundation; has served as Chair of the SIOR Foundation Grants & Scholarships committee; is a consistent attendee at all SIOR conferences and Regional Meetings, and has served as the Global Chair of both the Young Professionals and the Global Education committees. At the global SIOR conference in Chicago in October, Chris was elected Regional Director of the SIOR Central Region.
