Paul Fisher, CenterPoint Properties; Garry Weiss, Jones Lang LaSalle; Andy James, DP Partners; John Grueling, Will County Economic Development; Janyce Fadden, I-39 Logistics Corridor; and Mark Goode, Venture One are among the featured speaker on tap for the September 28th Transportation & Logistics Conference being hosted by Chicago Industrial Properties.

The regular event, looking deeper into the trends, issues and challenges facing the real estate and logistics industries, takes place from 7 am to noon on September 28, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

Following a period of networking, an exhibitor open house and opening remarks by Corey Chase, President of AIRE, a series of panels and presentations are planned to inform and educate real estate brokers, developers, owners, investors, managers, attorneys and financial sources. Those offerings include:

  • The Titans of Transportation—Executive level personnel from transportation and logistics firms—or firms who move a lot of product—provide perspective and insights on their industry and the role real estate plays in it.
  • The State of the Market—A Real Estate Perspective—Over the last decade, a number of firms and public entities have positioned themselves for growth in transportation and logistics. A panel of those most active provides their perspective to what the greater Chicago marketplace has to offer.
  • The Corridors of Opportunity—A panel looks more closely at the many distinct corridors of opportunity for transportation and logistics oriented facilities, from Rockford to Northwest Indiana and from Southeast Wisconsin to Joliet and beyond—with the O’Hare market in the center.
  • Investing in the Industry—This panel looks at the marketability of and return on investment for transportation and logistics-oriented real estate, the buildings in which it all takes place.

Registration for the event is $49. Click Here to register. Sponsorship and speaking opportunities also are available. Interested parties should call Ernie Abood or John Mickey at 312-644-7800.
