Detroit-based City Club Apartments hosted a grand opening event for its City Club Apartments MDA-Phase II in the historic Loop in downtown Chicago.
The community, which is located at 63 East Lake Street in the Loop, is just steps from the Chicago River and the famous Theater District and a short walk from Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago and Michigan Avenue shopping. The 23-floor historic 1927 first phase MDA building was redeveloped into a mixed-use apartment community in 2006.
MDA Phase II’s “Modern” is a new 7-story mid-rise, mixed-use building that added 81 studio, studio N and convertible units to MDA I’s 190 existing apartments and penthouses with a design echoing the historic architecture of Chicago with decorative brickwork, large casement style windows, black metalwork fenestration and international design interiors. The new rooftop Sky Park includes a heated outdoor pool, wrap around sun loungers, outdoor theatre, grill station and lounge seating as well as spectacular city views. The second floor houses a multi-purpose Entertainment Clubroom/Conference room and connects to CCA MDA Phase I `Historic` via a 6th-floor Skybridge.
CCA MDA Phase I `Historic` and II `Modern` residents have access to the combined amenities and services of both buildings. These include the onsite restaurant Elephant &
Castle, as well as retail, 24/7 concierge, lobby lounge library, 24/7 whole body fitness center, weekly social programing events, pool and hot-tub, multi-purpose clubroom/conference room, zen garden, sky club, bicycle room, bark park, indoor and outdoor theaters, business center and conference room and the latest high speed technologies.
City Club`s `Apartment Hotels` are located in prime neighborhoods throughout the Midwest with great access to public transportation, arts and culture, parks and trails, sporting venues, retail, restaurants, and entertainment and central business districts.
