Clayco Inc. has been named design-builder for a new 5,000-square-foot branch location for IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union located at 404 W. Carl Sandburg Drive in Galesburg, Ill. This will be the credit union’s second branch in Galesburg. In addition to managing the design-build, Clayco also assisted in locating and securing the site.

The 5,000 square-foot, full-service branch will feature member friendly teller pods, easy access interview stations and hotel offices, remote tellers, two-way video, drive-through banking, a 24-hour drive-up ATM, and a large community room. The non-traditional design was selected in order to offer greater convenience and a one-of-a-kind branch experience.

“We are excited to be working with IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union to expand their offerings to the Galesburg community with this full-service location,” said Paul Barrath, Business Unit Leader for Financial Facilities at Clayco and project executive on the IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union project. “We are continually seeking new ways to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and convenient services for future employees and members, and because this is a specialty area for Clayco, we have a successful formula when it comes to the complexities of building credit unions.”

The project team includes Barrath, Project Executive; Dean Wilcoxen, Architectural Designer and Matt Montgomery, Project Manager. Frank Wiseman from Forum Studio is the Project Architect.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late fall 2011 with an expected completion in 2012. The facility is Clayco’s first project for the credit union, which has 15 locations currently and will have four locations in Western Illinois when this project is completed. IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union is the largest credit union in its region and the sixth largest in the state of Illinois.
