Cohen Financial, a national real estate capital services firm, in May opened an office in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Cathy Bronkema, partner and executive vice President of Cohen Financial, leads the office. Bronkema has actively teamed with Colliers International in West Michigan since 2011 to provide capital services to the firm’s clients across the country. This year, her teaming assignments have resulted in more than $10.2 million in CRE loans in West Michigan and outside of the state.
“Opening this new regional office is evidence of our success and the terrific working relationship we have built with Colliers International in West Michigan and nationally,” said Bronkema.
In the first quarter of 2012, Bronkema arranged fixed-rate financing for three industrial properties via teaming assignments with Colliers International. The transactions included a $500,000-plus acquisition loan for a 20,136-square-foot industrial property in Marne, Mich.; a $1.9 million refinancing loan for a 110,875-square-foot industrial property; and a $1.65 million refinancing loan for a 101,250-square-foot industrial property. Both of the refinanced industrial properties are located in Grand Rapids.
