Colliers adds SVP and VP to Minneapolis office

Colliers added Jim Rock as senior vice president and Suzanne Schefcik as vice president to its Retail Services Group in Minneapolis.

The duo will advise clients across the region, offering expertise in leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and strategic real estate planning.

Rock and Schefcik join Colliers from Avison Young where they led the firm’s capital markets and retail efforts in Minneapolis with a special focus on net lease, automotive, and strip center real estate. While there they completed numerous sales of multi-tenant shopping centers, net lease investment properties and user sales.

Since 2020, the team has exclusively represented Gerber Collision, overseeing the auto body and glass repair company’s national expansion and opening of 100+ stores. In addition, Rock and Schefcik recently represented TBC Corporation in the disposition of eight excess Big O Tire sites. During their tenure, Rock also served as a member of the firm’s five-person Retail Executive Committee which was responsible for driving improvements to Avison Young’s national platform.

In 2021, Rock and Schefcik were the recipients of Avison Young’s “Circle of Excellence Award” which recognizes the firm’s top global producers.

Rock is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) and the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR). He is a graduate of Bethel University.

Schefcik currently serves as a committee member with MNCrew (Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women), a council member with CREW’s national retail properties group, and a board member for the local Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) chapter where she is also working toward the professional designation. She earned an MA in anthropology from Western Washington University and a BA from University Minnesota – Duluth.
