Scott Barrett has joined Colliers as senior vice president of retail leasing and will be based in the Rosemont, Illinois, office.
Over the past three decades, Barrett has worked for some of the top REITs, owners and asset managers in the industry including Simon, Kite, Washington Prime, and CASTO.
His extensive knowledge encompasses leasing—from small shops to anchor tenants—as well as peripheral land leasing and sales. In addition, Barrett has spearheaded the development, redevelopment and repositioning of numerous properties in 27 states. Throughout his career he has consistently demonstrated an ability to drive asset performance and increase valuations via asset intensification and creative leasing strategies.
Most recently Barrett was a Senior Vice President, Asset Manager, for Chicago-based Heitman. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in boosting the value of a 26-property portfolio by more than $60 million.
