Colliers’ Jeff Devine and Steve Disse represented a private investor in the sale of 990 and 1000 Deerfield Parkway, a 226,384-square-foot lab/warehouse center in Buffalo Grove. Lightstone, a privately held real estate company based in New York, purchased the facility for an undisclosed amount.
Built in 1985, the 1000 Deerfield facility has had significant upgrades in the past 24 months. The building features 90,000 square feet of finished office space over two levels and parking for 600 cars. The attached manufacturing facility features a 21-foot clear height, five interior docks and three exterior docks. The building is centrally located, and is 18 miles from O’Hare International Airport and near two four-way interchanges at I-94 and I-294.
The building is fully leased to Siemens, one of the world’s leading technology firms, which has occupied the space since 1987. It serves as Siemens U.S. Engineering Headquarters, employing more than 800 engineers and manufacturing workers.
