There are certain buildings that rank as icons. In Kansas City, Mo., the Kansas City Board of Trade building falls into that category.
And now this key city property is on the market.
CME Group is selling the building. Holly Duran Real Estate Partners based in Chicago has been representing CME Group for 30 years, and will co-broker the deal with Colliers International.
Located at 4800 Main St. on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza, the Board of Trade building is a 165,714-square-foot Class-B+ property. The property comes with a structured parking garage.
Rod Jones, senior vice president of Colliers International in Kansas City, is representing Duran. Bryan Johnson, co-chief executive officer of Colliers International|Kansas City, will provide team support.
“Investors both in and out of Kansas City will be attracted to this property because of its investment size and the ability to acquire the asset significantly below replacement cost,” said Jones in a written statement. “There is limited quality investment product available in this size range, especially within the Country Club Plaza submarket.”
The last day of open-outcry trading on the building’s floor will be June 28.
