Colliers International has closed the lease of 137,560 square feet of industrial space at 50 Continental Drive in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Peter E. Kepic, Principal, and Peter J. Kepic, Senior Vice President at Colliers International Detroit, represented the landlord, Joel Nosanchuk.

The new tenant, Samsung SDI America, Inc., is planning to have Magnum Industrial Building Company complete a $62.7 million high-volume battery pack manufacturing facility. The facility, the first of its kind in the US, will be the center of Samsung’s automotive battery operations and home to its new North American headquarters, research and development tech center and manufacturing operations.

Magnum Industrial Building Company, the landlord’s contractor on the speculative project, will finish the interior for Samsung to their specifications. Samsung is expected to occupy in the Spring of 2019.
