Community Threads has completed a significant lease expansion and relocation, from a retail center in Buffalo Grove, IL. to one in nearby Arlington Heights, IL. Representing Community Threads was David Gelfand an Executive Vice President with the Chicago office of Colliers International.
According to Elizabeth Maring, the founder of Community Threads, “With this expansion, our plan is to offer more high quality donated goods to our customers at below market prices and use store profits to relieve poverty and promote education.”
Community Threads executed a lease for approximately 22,000 square feet of space at Arlington Plaza, 250 W. Rand Road in Arlington Heights. The space that will serve as the new home for Community Threads formerly was occupied in a similar capacity by the Salvation Army. The organization had leased approximately 13,000 square feet of space at 70 West Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove.
Community Threads is preparing to open in June in this new location.
