Robert “Bob” Rischmann has joined Colliers International as executive vice president. Located within the firm’s Chicago offices, Mr. Rischmann is tasked with launching and growing Colliers’ new Tax and Incentives Practice nationwide.

“Bob brings to us decades of experience in the government incentives arena, having assisted major corporations throughout the country with procuring economic benefits,” said David R. Kahnweiler, SIOR, chairman and CEO of Colliers International | Chicago. “We are confident that the combination of his skillset and Colliers’ vast relationships will result in an even more robust service delivery model.”

Mr. Rischmann has over 30 years of state and local tax experience with the last 20 years focused on negotiating credits and incentives. His wide range of expertise also extends to accounting, risk management, project planning, and financial analysis. He has a diverse background, having worked nationally across various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, utilities and retail.

Prior to joining Colliers, Mr. Rischmann spent more than three years as director of PricewaterhouseCooper’s Credits and Incentives Network. Prior to that, he spent six years as the Credits and Incentives National Practice Leader for True Partners Consulting. In the first 20 years of his career, he held similar positions with well-known corporations such as Baxter Healthcare, Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen, and Deloitte in addition to the Illinois Department of Revenue. “’I’m thrilled for this exciting new opportunity,” said Mr. Rischmann. “The prospect of growing a brand new service line for a highly respected firm such as Colliers is a welcomed challenge. While the Chicago market is teeming with activity and is a very strong incentives market, I look forward to establishing a presence in other key markets throughout the country,” he added.
