Colliers negotiates sale of 1.19-million-square-foot industrial property in Columbus market

Colliers closed the sale of Rickenbacker Exchange Building 2 in the Columbus, Ohio, logistics market.

The 1,194,865-square-foot, class-A speculative building is one of the largest industrial developments in Central Ohio and was fully leased to Hanesbrands, Inc. prior to its completion in 2022. 

Located at 521 Exchange Way in Commercial Point, Ohio, this building is the second completion by Van Trust within the 875-acre master-planned Rickenbacker Exchange at Commercial Point industrial park. The state-of-the-art building features 40-foot clear height, 8-inch floor slabs, 4 drive-in doors, 120 existing docks, and 728 parking spaces.

The Colliers Midwest Investment Services Team — led by Alex Cantu and Alex Davenport —facilitated the transaction between Van Trust, the seller and W. P. Carey Inc, a New York City based real estate investment trust with a 173 million square foot portfolio of net leased properties across North America, Europe, and Japan. 

The Colliers Midwest Investment Services Team oversees the sales and funding of industrial projects throughout, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan and Missouri.  The team is led by Alex Cantu, Jeff Devine, Steve Disse, Alex Davenport and Tyler Ziebel.
