Colliers’ Cincinnati’s industrial team represented TradeLane Properties, a privately held Industrial real estate investment company, in the acquisition of a 14-building, off-market portfolio.
The portfolio includes nine light industrial buildings and five distribution buildings located throughout Cincinnati, Ohio, and Erlanger, Kentucky.
Seven of the buildings are located within the CVG Airport submarket, immediately adjacent to the Amazon Air Hub. The other seven buildings are situated in highly desired submarkets of Cincinnati.
Represented by Colliers’ Cincinnati Industrial Team—Senior Vice President John Gartner, Senior Vice President Erin Casey and Associate Andrew Jacob— the 651,846-square-foot value-add portfolio was 94% leased at closing, occupied by 56 diverse customers amid the 3rd-party logistics, air cargo, e-commerce, manufacturing and wholesale trade industries.
TradeLane purchased this portfolio from Tappan Properties, which was active in the Greater Cincinnati market since its inception in 1993. Chip Tappan, the company’s founder, worked at West Shell Commercial—now known as Colliers—early in his career, where he established a strong working relationship with Gartner.
For over 30 years, Colliers remained Tappan’s trust partner in industrial real estate needs, with Gartner forging the path and Casey leading the way. Casey expertly oversaw the leasing of the portfolio for the last 17 years and earned the leasing assignment from TradeLane moving forward due to her exceptional service and results.
Over the past 30 years, Gartner and Casey have successfully closed over 248 deals, with an impressive total transaction volume of $107 million, covering a vast 3.1 million square feet for Tappan’s portfolio. These achievements are a testament to their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional results for Tappan Properties, and they look forward to producing the same results for TradeLane Properties.
