Team Gemini, a sustainable project design and development company based in Orlando, Fla., has selected Colliers International to market the Gemini Synergy Center Industrial Park in Grove City, Ohio.

Team Gemini recently signed an agreement with the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio  to build a facility designed to reduce the amount of waste deposited in landfills by recycling the municipal waste stream into energy and reusable raw materials. The project has a $250 million estimated construction budget.

“From the very beginning, we wanted to bring together not just the best architectural, engineering, marketing/ sales and construction management companies, but the talent in Central Ohio,” says Doug Haughn, Team Gemini president. “We are excited to have Colliers International make this project a reality.”

As part of the project, Team Gemini, which will develop the 343-acre tract of land north of S.R. 665 to create an industrial and research park that will serve as a sustainable business cluster powered by a waste stream located within a Community Reinvestment Area (CRA).

Bill Baumgardner, senior vice president from the industrial services group of Colliers, will be the point of contact for interested tenants or buyers looking to move into this  region of Columbus.

Team Gemini plans to become the anchor tenant at Gemini Synergy Center, and will build process facilities for recycled products and manufacturing to be powered by the waste stream, including a biogas/biomass plant; a facility for converting organic waste into compost, fertilizer and hybrid soils; and the conversion of plastics into oil. An integral benefit for tenants of the sustainable industrial park will include access to recyclable by-products recovered from the processing, which can be used to generate power or create new products from recycled materials.
