Adam Karras of Commercial In-Sites, LLC represented the seller of 2700 E. 5th Ave. in Gary, Indiana, in the sale a 285,000-square-foot industrial building to Alliance Steel Corporation.
Alliance is an Illinois-based manufacturer of flat-rolled steel supply and coil processing.
The steel plant will undergo just under $20 million in improvements by the end of 2019. The move brings the company much closer to the major steel mills. Alliance Steel Corporation expects to expand the company’s personnel with a variety of positions by about 35 additional jobs.
