The NBC Tower’s anchor tenant, ComPsych Corp., has renewed and expanded its U.S. headquarters lease to 128,381 square feet at the iconic, 37-story, 850,000-square foot, Class A office tower.
ComPsych, founded by Chicago entrepreneur Richard Chaifetz, the company’s chairman and CEO, a provider of employee assistance programs. The company has signed a long-term extension of its lease for 104,910 on floors 10 through 13 and is also expanding by 23,471 square feet, taking the entire 14th floor.
Jones Lang LaSalle‘s Melissa Rubenstein and Gary Kostecki completed the transaction on behalf of the building’s owners, Metropolis Investment Holdings Inc., while Todd Lippman and James Whalen of CBRE represented ComPsych. The transaction was the third-largest to be completed in the Chicago CBD so far this year.

Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and completed in 1989, the art deco style building features office floor plates ranging in size from 18,000 to 30,000 square feet.
Among the amenities are the new Cityfront Café restaurant and Chicago’s only espressamente illy gourmet Italian coffee shop. NBC Tower also offers parking for more than 600 automobiles (including 263 indoor parking spaces) and a new conference center and fitness center.
A variety of vacant spaces are available for immediate lease including approximately 90,000 square feet of contiguous space on floors 16 through 20.
