Co-developers Confluent Senior Living and Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) will begin construction on a new 158,083-square-foot senior living community in Cordova, Tennessee. Named HarborChase of Cordova, the development will deliver 144 apartments for area seniors and is planned to open in the first quarter of 2020.

The project marks the partnership’s second development in east Memphis, with its HarborChase of Germantown project anticipated to open in summer 2019. The HarborChase of Cordova project is a three-story development that will provide 60 independent living, 50 assisted living and 34 memory care apartments in a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.

The luxury retirement facility is located at 7518 Dexter Grove Drive in Cordova within unincorporated Shelby County, about 20 miles east of Memphis. The development sits one mile south of Bellevue Baptist Church, the largest church in the Memphis metro area. The project is also situated near retail amenities at Germantown Parkway and Wolfchase Galleria mall.

HarborChase of Cordova will be managed by HRA, a regional senior living development and management company based in Vero Beach, Fla. The project marks HRA’s fifth partnership with Confluent Senior Living, which serves as the project’s owner and is a subsidiary of Confluent Development, a Denver-based real estate investment and development firm.

The community will feature 24-hour staff; full-service bistro; multiple dining areas; community life enrichment room; clubroom; arts and crafts space; barber and beauty salon; library; pool; fitness and wellness center; outdoor dining; putting green; fully enclosed memory support courtyard; daily scheduled transportation; housekeeping service; and community-wide Wi-Fi.

Rosemann & Associates is serving as the architect on the project.
