Construction has officially begun on ARTerra, a 12-story luxury residential building that is the first high-rise apartment building to be built in the Crossroads Arts District area of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The project is being jointly developed by Altus Properties of St. Louis and Copaken Brooks of Kansas City.
Located at 21st and Wyandotte Streets, ARTerra, which means “art of the earth,” was designed to integrate into the Crossroads skyline while also creating a new visual beacon for the district. The building will feature 126 residential units, first-floor retail, an integrated parking garage and best-in-class amenity spaces, including an infinity pool overlooking Liberty Memorial, Penn Valley Park and the Arts District, as well as a 12th-floor amenity suite offering views of the Kansas City skyline.
A formal ground-breaking ceremony is expected in early August with an anticipated project completion in late 2018.
