Seefried Industrial Properties and Cabot Properties have broken ground on Niles Commerce Center, a 217,064-square-foot site scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2016.
The spec warehouse project sits on an 11.2-acre site with 135,227 square feet preleased to Thermal Care. The property was also approved for “6B” property tax status.
Niles Commerce Center is just within miles of O’Hare International Airport and within close proximity to Interstate 94 and 294. It offers tenants accessibility, along with the flexibility of an in-fill space. The project will be equipped with 205 automobile parking spaces, 24 stalls for trailer parking and 26 exterior docks, and the building will have a 30-foot clear height.
During the August groundbreaking, Mayor Andrew Przybylo was in attendance along with the project partners. Harris Architects is the architect for the project, Kimley-Horn and Associates is the civil engineer, and Keeley Construction is the general contractor.
