Opus announced the start of construction on a 60,000-square-foot office facility in West Bend. The building will serve as the headquarters for Delta Defense LLC and the United States Concealed Carry Association – which provides education, training and legal protection for responsible gun owners.
The new office will accommodate Delta Defense’s quickly expanding employee base that is projected to grow by more than 130 new jobs over the next five years.
Visible from Highway 45, the two-story headquarters is located on nearly 36 acres of land in the West Bend Corporate Center. The building will feature a member services call center, training center and complete video and audio studio.
Approximately 8,000 square feet of the first floor will serve as a fulfillment center to ship books, DVDs and other items that the company produces and sells – a crucial building component as the number of orders has nearly doubled in the past year. The building will also include a two-story seating stair and flexible open space for meetings and community events.
Construction began in May and will be complete for the company to move in early 2017. Using its unique DB3 design-build approach, Opus has worked on more than 55 Client Direct Services construction projects for clients throughout the country in the past 24 months including remodels, tenant improvements and new construction projects across sectors.
Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder for this project and Opus AE Group, L.L.C. is the architect and structural engineer of record with Kahler Slater providing schematic and interior design services. Opus Development Company, L.L.C. provided development support services.
