Green Township officials and leaders from Trailside Village LLC celebrated the ground-breaking of the first phase of Trailside Village, a mixed-use development on the west side of Cincinnati.
As part of the construction process, developers and builders are adapting their processes to make sure that sensitive streams and woodlands are preserved. This makes Trailside Village Hamilton County, Ohio’s first Conservation Development.
M/I Homes and Dennis Ott Builders are bringing new housing types to the Cincinnati market as part of this project. More than half of the acreage in the first phase of the development will include more than 55 acres of greenspace. .
Clete Benken, president of Peravia, LLC, a partner in Trailside Village, developed the conservation plan for Trailside Village. The development is located on property on which his grandparents operated a dairy farm decades ago.
Following the earthwork and construction for phase 1, more than 250 trees and native understory vegetation will be replanted along the development’s greenways and trails.
The first homes of the development are expected to be delivered in the summer of 2024. Future development will be located along Harrison Avenue and feature additional housing units and 35,000 square feet of commercial space.
The first phase of Trailside Village will include 195 lots for residential development.
