The Missner Group has completed Phase II of a capital improvement project at Continental Towers, 1701 Golf Road in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
The property is a 910,000-square-foot, Class A office complex comprised of three, 12-story towers and is situated on a 34-acre site, owned by GlenStar Properties, LLC and Walton Street Capital.
The firm completed Phase I of the scheduled improvements to Continental Towers in February 2015, which included interior renovations to the complex’s common areas. Phase II included significant renovations to the property’s exterior like The Missner Group constructing a new main entrance with decorative lighting, ornamental canopied entry ways to each of the three buildings with covered pick-up/drop-off areas as well as incorporating additional landscaping features.
The firm also cleaned and re-sealed the exterior of the buildings, added new accent LED lighting, specifically designed to illuminate large-scale structures, to the buildings’ entrance facades and parapets. In addition, Phase II included the construction of a new four-story parking garage constructed over an existing detention pond with 735 parking spaces, as well as resurfacing the existing parking lots, which have up to 2,550 vehicle spaces.
The construction team for The Missner Group was led by Vice President of Construction Drue Stoehr, and Project Manager Uros Stojakovic. Gary Bertoncini served as the project superintendent. Archideas provided the architectural services.
