Copaken Brooks acquired the Kansas Commerce Center, a nearly 98,000-square-foot mixed-use property at 95th Street and Lackman Road in Lenexa, Kansas.
The firm will assume full responsibility for property management, accounting, and leasing, continuing to grow its portfolio in the Kansas City market.
The acquisition reflects Copaken Brooks’ continued focus on identifying and acquiring well-positioned assets while growing its portfolio across the Kansas City region.
Kansas Commerce Center is comprised of four buildings, including two multi-tenant flex buildings offering a blend of office, showroom, and warehouse space; a multi-tenant retail strip center; and a quick-service restaurant with drive-thru occupied by Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh. The property also includes an undeveloped pad site of approximately half an acre, presenting additional future development opportunities.
The property is currently home to 18 tenants, including Wallaby’s Grill and Pub, Philips, DePuy Synthes, Neff Power, Social Security Administration, Apria, and Amerita Specialty Infusion Services. This diverse tenant base reflects a strong mix of uses and provides a solid foundation for continued leasing and long-term growth.
Copaken Brooks will oversee day-to-day operations with a strategic focus on tenant engagement, leasing activity, and maximizing the property’s long-term performance.
Leasing at Kansas Commerce Center will be led by Kassie Murphy, Senior Associate of Retail Brokerage, who will oversee retail leasing, and Molly Crawford Munninghoff, SVP of Brokerage, who will handle office and light industrial leasing.
