Crain Communications has announced that it will move its Chicago office on March 31, 2012 to three floors of the 150 N. Michigan Avenue building at the corner of Randolph. The company is currently located at 360 N. Michigan Avenue.
The building, once known as the Smurfit-Stone Building and the Stone Container Building, will be renamed the Crain Communications Building after the firm moves into the space, according to a press release.
The Chicago office of Crain Communications is home to Crain’s Chicago Business, Business Insurance, Modern Healthcare, Workforce Management and editorial and advertising sales staffs of most Crain titles. Approximately 200 employees work for Crain in the Chicago office.
The company has leased 54,426 square feet in the 41-story building. Crain has a ten-year lease, with extension options. The building is locally managed by Jones Lang LaSalle and owned by German-based SEB Asset Management.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Brad Despot and Monica Moore represented building ownership in the deal.
