Cresa growth continues with expansion in Chicago suburbs

Cresa, a leading occupier-centric commercial real estate firm, is expanding its service delivery in the suburban Chicago office market and has tapped two industry veterans to lead the charge. Rick Morris and Mark Kolar have joined as senior vice presidents and are tasked with building the new team.

Rick Morris, formerly a principal and with Avison Young, represents private and public sector clients with site selection, strategic planning, consolidations and acquisitions and dispositions. During his career he has arranged more than five million square feet of leases valued at $1 billion. Notable clients include Titan Security, Bauderer Packaging, Corcentric and Medulla.

He was previously a vice president with Colliers where he was annually recognized as a top producer. Morris is a graduate of Michigan State University.

Mark Kolar joins Cresa from JLL where he was a senior vice president partnering with local and global corporate clients to develop strategic plans that maximize real estate value and workplace experience. With a robust background in finance, and as a former commercial lender with LaSalle National Bank, he brings a unique perspective to each transaction he negotiates. Clients include Bank of America, Consumers Credit Union, Charles Industries, FANUC, Great American Insurance, Roosevelt University, and Northern Illinois University among others. 

Kolar is currently a board member of the Schaumburg Business Association and sits on the Roosevelt University Counsel of Advisors. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
