Cresa, a tenant-representation firm, recently raised a record amount of money to support three charities as part of its annual spring conference. Held April 25-28 in Miami, this event gathered more than 350 employees from across the United States and Canada for community service, education and team-building activities.
This year’s conference featured the first Cresa Challenge, an Olympic-style competition among the 55 Cresa offices from across North America. This event combined with a raffle and a live auction helped raise a total of $86,227 during the four-day conference.
The funds were split between three different charitable organizations: Operation Homefront, a group that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of wounded service members; Wish of a Lifetime, a group that makes wishes come true for senior citizens; and Adaptive Action Sports, an organization that promotes action sport camps, events and programs for youth and young adults living with permanent physical disabilities.
“This group is both extremely competitive and charitable. So pairing a competition with fundraising has been nothing short of a huge success,” said Jim Leslie, CEO of Cresa.
