Cresa Chicago senior vice president, Liz Roberts, has been named a fellow with JCC Chicago Women inPower, a recently launched initiative to advance professional women in the workforce.
“I am really excited to be a part of this program and join other rising leaders across the country to not only learn, grow and connect, but also support future generations of women in business,” said Roberts.
Women inPower is a 12-month fellowship program that pairs local business leader mentors with ambitious women looking to advance their professional careers and pursue senior leadership positions. It is supported by an impressive group of mentors and steering committee members, including Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot who serves as Honorary Co-Chair of the Women inPower Steering Committee.
Chicago is among five pilot communities across the country to launch the program. Twelve women were chosen as fellows for the 2020 cohort. Representing for- and not-for-profit businesses, these women will come together over the next year to be mentored by notable women who have themselves blazed a trail in the business world.
Further, the twelve fellows will support JCC Chicago’s Project Teen-Seed 613, a social innovation and entrepreneurship fellowship for teen girls.
