Reports of retail’s demise are great clickbait, but the market is still very strong for many retailers. CREW Chicago hosted a luncheon on June 27 at the East Bank Club that looked into the questions around retail such as “How do I reinvent my marketplace?” “How can I use technology to get shoppers into my marketplace?” “How do I get a visitor to the center into my store?” “How do I deliver an integrated online and brick and mortar experience?”

Michelle Panovich, senior partner with Mid-America Real Estate Group, moderated a panel discussion and Q&A session. Speakers included Jaime Bertsche, vice president, leasing at MidAmerica Asset Management; Rick Filler, president and COO at The Harlem Irving Companies and Samantha Schnell, director of leasing at IRC Retail Centers.
