The St. Louis chapter of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) honored several members at its Seventh Annual Networking Awards Luncheon held Feb. 28 at the Chase Park Plaza.
The awards revolve around CREW Network’s mission to advance the success of women in commercial real estate, showcase the power of networking and demonstrate the organization’s support to the community. Those honored are:
New Member of the Year – Valerie Schuete, Midwest Elevator
Since joining CREW-St. Louis, Schuete has been actively involved in the CREW-St. Louis/Safe Connections Golf Tournament, the chapter’s signature charitable event. She served as co-chair of last year’s tournament, a role that she will continue in 2012.
Member to Member Business – Ann Schmelzle, Cresa Partners, and Monica Conners, St. Louis County Economic Council
Conners had a request from a thriving technology services company looking to relocate its corporate headquarters from Atlanta. The firm needed 10,000 square feet of office space, with room to double that in two to three years. Conners referred this company to Schmelzle because Cresa Partners has expertise in representing corporate tenants. One of four firms to interview and make a formal presentation, Cresa Partners was eventually selected as the firm’s exclusive tenant rep advisor.
Spirit of CREW – Merri Cross, JES Holdings
Cross was selected for her energy and enthusiasm in promoting CREW-St. Louis. She served as the chapter’s communications and marketing professional for several years, and now serves on the Executive Committee.
2012 Legacy Award – Vicki Dolan, Solon Gershman
A commercial real estate professional for more than three decades, Dolan has become one of the area’s top brokers. She also is an active member of CREW-St. Louis, serving on several committees and as president. She contributes her time and talent to several industry and civic organizations.
