Crown Point self-storage facility changes hands

EquiCap Commercial facilitated the sale of Crown Point Self Storage, a 239-unit, 28,100-square-foot net rentable self storage facility in Crown Point, Indiana.

Jesse Luke, managing partner of EquiCap Commercial, represented the seller, a private owner operator. EquiCap Commercial also sourced the buyer, an experienced, multi-faceted real estate investment and management company.

“We received multiple offers on this listing in a short timeframe, due to the fact that this opportunity included a new building added in 2016 which leased to 100 percent within 45 days and has more room to expand, in a very strong self-storage market,” said Jesse Luke, managing partner at EquiCap Commercial, Self Storage Advisory Group. “Beyond physical expansion, rents are currently below market rates so there is additional revenue opportunity too.”

EquiCap Commercial, Self Storage Advisory Group, located in St. Charles, Illinois is a unique brokerage firm that dedicates 100 percent of it’s time to the self storage marketplace, with a primary focus in the Midwest and Mid-South Markets.
