Steeple People Thrift Store, a south Minneapolis nonprofit, will reopen on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, just blocks away from its original location.
Senior directors Kim Meyer and Tom Martin with Cushman & Wakefield represented Steeple People in its search. The new location, at 1901 Nicollet Ave., is across the street from Plymouth Congregational Church, on the southeast corner of 19th Street and Nicollet Avenue. Established retailers within a block radius of the new location include Frattallone’s Ace Hardware, Starbucks, CVS and several others.
Steeple People expects to open in February as Old School by Steeple People.
Old School by Steeple People is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 organization that sells donated household goods and quality used clothing. During 37 years, Steeple People has donated more than $1 million to worthy charity causes. The original store, at Lyndale Avenue and Franklin Avenue, closed in March 2017 to make way for a new multifamily development.
