Cushman & Wakefield hires Steve LaKind as Executive Director

Cushman & Wakefield has expanded the Chicago Suburban markets team with a new executive director Steve LaKind, according to a company statement.

In his new role, the 31-year veteran will focus on tenant representation services and high-growth companies in Chicago’s suburban markets.

“Steve is well known for his strategic thinking and the ability to successfully and reliably execute complex transactions on behalf of his clients,” Vicki Noonan, Chicago Managing Principal for Cushman & Wakefield, said in a statement. “He is a valued addition and the Cushman & Wakefield team is thrilled to welcome him.”

LaKind spent 23 years at Savills Studley where he has been a top producer in the Chicago market. He has managed 10.5 million square feet of transactions and served clients including PSAV, Markel Insurance, ZS Associates, Valent BioSciences, National Louis University and more.

He serves on the board of the Children’s Research Fund and is involved with Special Olympics, Mount Sinai Medical Research, literacy programs and sustainable gardening.
