The Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq team of senior director Tom Martin and senior director Kim Meyer has closed the sale of an underutilized 1.2-acre site in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, clearing the way for a new mixed-use development complete with housing units and a grocery store.
Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq’s Martin and Meyer brokered the sale of the land and vacant former Bally Total Fitness building at 4900 Excelsior Blvd., just east of Highway-100 and adjacent to the Excelsior & Grand mixed-use project. The Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq team represented L.A. Fitness, which had acquired the property when it purchased Bally in 2011.
Martin and Meyer evaluated the potential users and developers for the site, entertaining multiple development proposals, before selecting Oppidan, who recently received all entitlements to commence a development that includes a grocery store and 170+ apartment units.
