Cushman & Wakefield promotes one and hires one for Midwest market

Cushman & Wakefield announced that the real estate services firm has promoted Kari Olbrecht to lead the company’s Valuation & Advisory (V&A) Midwest market. Olbrecht is based in Chicago. As market lead, Olbrecht will focus on strategic support and development within the market.  

Olbrecht joined the firm in October 2001 and joined V&A in 2006. She most recently served as director of valuation for the Midwest, cultivating strong market knowledge and relationships. Her professional experience includes researching and appraising institutional-grade and corporate real estate in the Midwest including medical office buildings, central business district and suburban office properties, warehouse/distribution facilities, vacant land, sports stadiums/arenas, student housing, shopping centers, and multifamily apartment complexes.

With this transition, Scott Falkum joins the firm as Midwest director of valuation. Falkum is located in Minneapolis and brings more than 21 years of commercial real estate and valuation and consulting experience. Falkum has experience providing real estate appraisals and consultations for financial institutions, developers, individual and corporate property owners, city and county governments and state agencies. He focuses on office and multifamily as well as industrial, net lease investments, retail, medical office buildings, restaurants, land and other special purpose properties.
