Northstar Lottery Group LLC, a consortium of companies serving the State of Illinois as private lottery manager, has leased four properties, for a total of 95,000 square feet, including office, warehouse, and data center space in the Chicago area. (The Group is the result of Governor Quinn’s recent bill to privatize the state lottery system.)
Michael Hawryluk of Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois, Inc. (C&W) managed all transactions for Northstar Lottery Group.
Following are details about each transaction: • 850 Remington Boulevard, Bolingbrook, IL—Northstar Lottery Group leased 50,000 square feet in a warehouse facility owned by TA Associates. Dan Leahy of NAI Hiffman represented TA.
• 586 Territorial Drive, Bolingbrook, IL—Northstar Lottery Group leased 17,800 sf of office/warehouse space for use as a sales office/repair and warehousing facility. Michael Hawryluk and Britt Casey of C&W represented the tenant; Adam Haefner and Vic DeBoer of Darwin Realty and Development represented landlord Mars Equities.
• 3201 Robbins Road, Springfield, IL—Northstar Lottery Group leased 20,706 sf to use as an office and datacenter location. Michael Hawryluk of C&W and Todd Smith of The Garrison Group represented the tenant. The landlord is a Springfield private trust established by Art Seppi and Charles Robbins of Charles Robbins Realtors in Springfield. The trust was self-represented.
• 180 North LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL—Northstar Lottery Group leased 6,515 sf of office space to house a portion of their executive team. Michael Hawryluk and Brandon Berger of C&W represented the tenant; Jack McKinney Jr. of J.F. McKinney and Associates represented landlord 180 N. LaSalle Realty, LLC.
