Cushman & Wakefield announced that the St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America has selected the firm to lead the Boys Scouts’ site selection efforts for a new location and market its Central West End regional offices.
For its new location, Cushman & Wakefield will work with the St. Louis Area Council to evaluate sites and facilities in St. Louis City and County that are available for sale or potential donation to the non-profit.
The Boy Scouts requirement calls for approximately 25,000 square feet that can support volunteer, family and organizational meetings and activities; the BSA Outfitters Scout Shop; and operations for initiatives such as the Scouts’ food drive, the largest one-day food drive in the Midwest, and Memorial Day flag-planting and beautification at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Boy Scouts of America has been an institution in St. Louis since 1911 and located at the Central West End property at 4568 West Pine Blvd. since the early 1960s.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Hanrahan, Matthew Stephens and Jack Gentile are working with the Boy Scouts’ Greater St. Louis Area Council.
