Jen Helm, director of brokerage services at Cushman & Wakefield | NorthMarq in Minneapolis, was named the 2014 president of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate. Helm is the first female to hold the presidency position since MNCAR’s inaugural year in 1994.
Prior to her presidency, Helm served on numerous committees within MNCAR, and most recently held a seat on the board. She replaces past president Duane Poppe, of Transwestern.
“I am thrilled to be the first female president of such a hardworking organization and one with a strong community presence in Minnesota. While I have big shoes to fill, thanks to Duane’s hard work, I hope 2014 is a growing year for our organization and I intend to raise the bar,” said Helm, in a written statement. “We have some exciting things planned for MNCAR in 2014, and we hope to implement these changes to show the impact of our organization and that we are finding new ways to connect with our community and our members.”
