Darland partnered with Omaha, Nebraska-based Truck Center Companies to build its new corporate headquarters and dealership, located on a 26-acre site at the corner of Interstate-80 and Highway-50 in Omaha.
The 180,000-square-foot, two-building facility features a full-service body shop, 60 service bays, an on-site diesel tech training center, a 34,000-square-foot parts warehouse and expanded amenities for TCC customers.
The building’s exterior is a combination of precast, EIFS and metal paneling. Interior areas feature polished and stained concrete, precast stairs and a second-floor corporate office over the dealership space. State-of-the-art Sageglass with dynamic electrochromic technology was incorporated into the main building’s design to increase energy efficiency and eliminate the need for blinds on the large windows. This ‘smart glass’ technology automatically dims to block unwanted heat and glare, thereby maximizing solar energy.
