Darwin completes this year’s largest sale in Will County

Darwin Realty & Development Corporation has brokered the sale of a 319,683 square foot industrial building located at 2635 Federal Signal Drive in University Park, Illinois. This is one of the largest industrial sales to a user in Will County in 2014.

An affiliate of Premier Transportation has purchased the industrial building for the expansion and consolidation of its Chicago area operation. Headquartered in Atlanta, Premier Transportation specializes in providing integrated transportation and logistics solutions to the retail and consumer products industries nationwide. The 21-acre site in Will County is situated with frontage on I-57 Building features include 32′ clear ceiling height, nearly 7,000 square feet of office space, 22 exterior docks with levelers, two drive-in doors, ESFR sprinkler system, 200 trailer parking positions and parking for 80 cars.

“University Park and Will County provide a business friendly environment that offers users a low tax rate,” stated George Cibula of Darwin Realty & Development Corporation. “This property offers nine additional acres for expansion capability and warehouse space to accommodate the Premier’s high velocity operations.”

George Cibula, SIOR and Rick Daly, SIOR of Darwin represented the seller, a private investment group, in the transaction. Jason West, SIOR and Sean Henrick, SIOR of Cushman & Wakefield worked on behalf of the buyer.
