Darwin Realty and Development Corp. has completed two long-term leases in the Chicago area.
Richard G. Daly, president of Darwin, represented Axis Warehouse LLC, a third party logistics company, in its relocation to 1099 Pratt Boulevard in Elk Grove Village. The building is approximately 111,000 square feet with amenities that include 10,000 square feet of office, 15 exterior docks, 24′ clear ceilings and the flexibility of reactivating the Union Pacific Rail.
The warehouse floors have recently been sealed with epoxy, the walls and ceilings have been painted, and energy efficient lighting has been added to the warehouse. The building owner was represented by Tom Maher of Hamilton Partners.
In a separate transaction, Albanese Confectionary Group, a local manufacturer, has leased 31,986 square feet at 1721 NorthWind Parkway in Hobart, Indiana. This space is part of a 95,000 square foot high-cube industrial building within the NorthWind Crossings industrial business park in Hobart, Indiana that was developed by Becknell Development, LLC. NorthWind Crossings is a master plan development that encompasses 164 acres and will satisfy space requirements up to 1 million square feet.
Becknell Development, LLC was represented by Daly and Ryan Hanley, associate of Darwin. Albanese was represented by Aaron McDermott of Latitude Commercial.
